Do Mud Guards help prevent Tar spots on the side of my truck? White truck with tar looks pretty bad.

Yes!, this pic is 3 days after washing her. You'll get a few speckles on the door only =) and I have 305 tires that sticks out a bit.

I have the Husky mud guards on my Silverado. The only time that I get stuff on the side of the truck is when there is something in the road, and I am turning a sharp corner and the front tires are sticking out way beyond the mudguards. I have had them on all of my vehicles for the past 20 years. Some don't like the looks of them, but they save a lot of extra cleaning.

Just installed a set of the GM textured finish splash guards on my truck last week.I've noticed when I wipe it down that the lower door panels and fenders don't get near as road grimy on jaunts around town. They're actually not too invasive looking either IMO and fit snugly with the flexible beading around the edges. Also installed them to divert stones and debris away from the power steps as much as possible.
