Fender well trimming

Postby jbstephenson [OP] » Feb 07 2013, 3:22am

So i have a 2inch leveling kit and im thinking about getting 33x12.5x20's soon, and I was wondering if the fender wells are replaceable so that if i ever lift my truck i can replace the cut up ones. I am almost 100% positive those tires wont fit without a trim so I want to make sure its replaceable.

i have a 3 inch leveling kit with 33/12.50 mud grapplers no trimming. Im pretty sure you could clear them without trimming and if you do have to it will be so little you wont be able to tell.
3 inch heavy metal leveling kit
custom tune
debadged
black painted chevy emblem in grill
tinted tail lights
33/12.50-17 mud grapplers
custom painted factory gmc 17s

I have 305/55/20's on my 2012 1500 with the R/C 2.5 inch leveling spacers. I had to trim a 2x6 inch piece of plastic off the liner out of the bottom rear of the front wells. I did it at a nice rounded angle and you can't tell at all. You will still have to be careful when you hit big bumps with the wheel turned but I havnt had any problems.

it really all depends on the rims backspace though stock rims are the best for clearing the biggest tires on just a leveling kit

Very true. I guess I should have said my rims have +18 backspacing.
