gas tank

swapping larger factory gas tank

gas tank

Postby snowjeep [OP] » Jan 16 2013, 8:32am

I have a 2000 silverado 2500 3 door short bed. I have the 26 gallon gas tank and wondering if anyone has tried installing the factory 33 gallon tank. It came on full size beds but have I handy friends that weld. So wondering if it is possible?

I think the factory tank size is dictated by the bed length, the long beds have a bigger tank.

The long beds do have the bigger tank. But being a landscaper and snowplower it would be great to have the extra 7 gallons. Less time at the pumps leaves more time to make money. So no one has done this?
