I did this mod with my 2007 Silverado Classic a few weeks ago. I baked them in the oven at 200 degrees for five minutes or until the lens' were warm to the touch. I then used two butter knives to gently pry the lens off of the assembly. I had to warm them for a few minutes, pry for a few minutes (until they cooled), warm them again, pry them again... Over and over for about an hour. Once opened I painted the insides red to match my truck. I know that your lights are different, but the concept is the same. Some people say not to bake them and to cut them open with a Dremil. I would not cut them. I will do some looking around and get you a couple links to the how to's for this mod.

Some tips if you do this-
Keep a close eye on the lights and be gentle when prying.
Don't touch the chrome inside of the light. It is very thin and will turn black.

Here are some pics and a video I made. (End of video shows my next (almost) free mod I'm working on.

I originally planned to use black silicone, but after deciding to paint I went with the clear. There is a channel that the lens sits in. I filled the channel all the way around with the silicone and smooshed the lens' back into place. I let them sit for about 20 hours with some books on top of them to keep pressure there.

Here are a couple links for the how to's-
