The lights showed up from amazon the other day. $35.00 for a set of 100w halogen lights. I don't need some $250.00 Hela lights so I get really pissed off when one breaks. I'm going to swap out the switch for one witha blue led. I'm a big fan of blue. I should be starting in the next couple of days and I will take a bunch of pictures so you can see how it is done.

Those don't look too bad for 35 bucks! Keep the photos coming and I do want to see the blue switch you end up installing.

Heads up! I hope the switch is rated for the amount of current your lights use. A friend of mine just had a car fire due to a switch that was not safe for the circuit.

I hope so too, It came with the lights. I was going to change it out for a blue light rocker switch. Radio Shack has them and I think I could find one that can take the same current.

With the lights wired in as a parallel circuit, I figure at 12.6 volts battery voltage to the lights, they will draw about 16 amps. Figure your safety margin from there but a 20 amp switch and fuse should be ok.

(16 amps times 12.6 volts = 201.6 watts. :)

I hope this helps.

Thanks for that. The kit also came with a fuse built into the wiring.
