I'm look to replace my stock rotted out rear bumper and I can get a nice factory one for like $250.00 I think because I work at a body shop but I kinda want a nice aftermarket one or maybe just some Ideas how to build one. What do you guys think?

How good of a welder are you? You can build a sweet bumper for $100 worth of steel.

Don't have pics, but I made a pretty nice one for a 78 Jimmy when i was 14 or 15. Used 4" thickwall square tubing. It was a monster!

This would work just fine. Probably the most cost effective and can be picked up in your nearest woods:

hahaha thanks but I think I'll pass on the wood bumper lol. maybe I'll try and fab up some diagrams and ideas to play with I just want it to be simple but look good too. Thanks for the help I know I want it to be strong so whatever I end up doing it will be pretty thick gauge steel.

If you want to buy a relatively cheap bumper go with Frontier, they make light duty bumpers for our trucks. Ranch Hand is another one to look at. Tons to pick from really.

Anyone know anything about Iron Cross Automotive bumpers?

I just ordered some 5" oval step bars from them and saw the catalog. They have some nice looking stuff. I have no idea what they cost, though.
