Making my 1500 look like a 2500hd

Postby Rado1500 [OP] » Nov 20 2011, 10:31pm

okay i know this may sound stupid, but i wanna make my 1500 look like a 2500hd.... I already got the cab lights, all i need is the tow mirrors and the leveling kit... is there anything else i need to make it look like one? also i wanted to get the stock hd rims and tires, but i understand the hd's are 8 lug rims right? what else can i do? and as far as the tires what are they? thanks!

stock tires are 265's with a body lift you could probably get 285's under it you probably have 245's on yours now

yeah 2500 are 8 lug, body lifts look stupid IMO, you see to much frame and you have a gap between your bumper and bottom of the box, if i were you i would look for suspenshion lift, or just put 265 on it to see how it looks then decided on a lift.

Your truck won't look like an HD with cab lights and tows. It'll just look like a 1500 with em. HD hoods are different, you can't put HD wheels on it, and the tailgate caps are different too. I'd leave it alone IMO.

Little things make a big diff IMO. Leveling kit would be #1 on your rig. Then some wheels/tires, maybe paint match some stuff, get vent visors, tint, etc. That stuff goes a long way.

I dig cab lights but on big trucks only. Hell my truck didn't even come with em and it's an HD.
