Well, many companies do make chrome ones but if you are looking for a set that won't corrode you want stainless steel. Not chrome plated mild steel. Polished stainless can be mistaken for chrome as many of them are finely polished. Not sure if Nfabs makes a polished stainless version of step bars but Go Rhino and some others do. Go Rhino cab length step bars are dominator II/two steps and the wheel to wheel version are dominator III/three steps. They ain't cheap but then when it comes to build material ,you get what you pay for.A good grade of stainless will not pull up to a magnet.Go Rhinos are such.Of course if you don't like the bling of polished stainless you can always paint em'.

Well, really, bling is a bit much for an old oil field truck. It's got a few bumps and bruises. But I still like the idea. Thanks for your input.

I want to get the N fab's. The way they mount kinda scares me. Looks like you have to drill new holes to mount them, being in the salt belt it's just another place for rust to start. If they where body mount i wouldn't have a problem. I have been looking online for the installation manual and haven't found anything. Give us feed back if you get them mounted and tell us what you think. I haven't seen any reviews on here.

Just ordered a set off Amazon Saturday for my 2011 Silverado. They should be here by the weekend. Like you mentioned, I'm a bit worried about how they install. The only thing I could find was a installation video of the N-Fabs being installed on a F-150. All they needed with that vehicle was a 9/16" wrench and no drilling. I'll update asap.

On a side note, Amazon has an awesome deal right now. If you sign up for their Prime account for a 1 month free trial (it's $79 if you fail to cancel before you trial ends) you get FREE 2 Day shipping for the entire month of your trial. That can be a huge savings in shipping if you are getting an item such as I did (N-Fab wanted almost $90 just for shipping). After I placed my order, I logged into my account and canceled my trail and I still get the shipping discount for the remainder of the month!
