Non-locking wiper blades

Postby Agent Fawk [OP] » Jun 16 2010, 6:44am

Damn these wiper blades!! They won't stay up! What years do any of the 1500 Sierras have locking wipers blades? I would like to buy some.

I may be new to the forum, but I sure ain't afraid to say what I'm thinking!!!!

BUT, I believe they made the style of wipers that you can lift off the windshield (and they stay there) starting in '07 when they changed the body style. Just based on a thought though.

Agent Fawk I know exactly what you mean. I have a 2003 and the stupid wipers don't stand up and lock into place so you clean the windshield. I've never owned a vehicle where you couldn't stand up the wipers to replace them or wash under them. It is rather annoying.

@Trumpster Thank you. Then, I shall buy some wiper blades off of an '07 or '08. Just to be sure. Those also have the wiper fluid pissers come out of the blade arms correct?

@Austin I shouldn't get pissed at that. But, they don't even lift high enough for the window washer!! argh!

Yes, the fluid comes out of the arms instead of the eyes on the hood! I like this better because you don't seem to waste as much fluid.

Well at least we know what you mean, and i wasn't sure if that's what u were talking about. I am the kind of person that when i know it will snow or ice in the winter i flip up my wipers so they don't freeze to the window..these don't do that..so im in the same boat
