Oh No! Blacked Out Fever Is Back

Oh No! Blacked Out Fever Is Back

Postby StarsnBars [OP] » Mar 20 2011, 2:56pm

Hey all, just half to try blacking out my bowtie emblems today. Going with the decal overlays for now. Got some black sheet and watched a vid last night. Hopefully I wont cobble it up to bad.. Another poster on a different thread got me thinking about it. Worst case, I'll half to peel them off if I mess them up. Oh well something to do today, lots of rain here in Iowa today. Pics to come later.

Yes local decal shop. Jeeze they want $20 for a precut vinyl online. I got a sheet big enough to do about 8 overlays. Im going to try my first " How to do " post about the install soon. Pretty easy . Just take your time,,,

looks nice stars. I will have to think about at least blacking out the emblem on my tailgate as the gold chevy emblem is actually flaking off inside which blew my mind when I discovered it.

Yeah Mine had the rotting rear emblem too. Just had my dealership replace mine. He said they have got a new batch of emblems that should be OK. Looks like you have a 2011 to. Your dealership should take car of it. Hit them up for a free oil change for your trouble. ;)
