Remember not to press too hard with the buffer, you don't want to burn through the paint and make it worse.

Try some scratch/swril remover first. You can pick it up at the local auto parts store.

Thanks for the heads up on the buffing process. I have a high power and a slower orbital. I will post a pic or two when I get to doing this (in the spring) so you'll can see how it comes out. Fingers crossed.

@ SLCCHEVY, I will try that first. Maybe that's something I can do sooner. Shouldn't cost much.

@ Holland, what part of CT you from?

Your still going to need to brake out the buffer with what your going to pick up...

I'm from the southington area.. and work for the FD down in Ridgefield...

always use a clay bar before buffing to get all the road grim and small stuff off the truck before u buff. helps with not having more scratches.

So did that actually happen from the car wash, or was that just when you noticed it? If it was the car wash, I would definitely be going bakc to talk to them. They probably won't do anything for you, but it would be worth telling them that something is wrong with their wash...
