Quarter Window in Extended Cab

Quarter Window in Extended Cab

Postby xerobytez [OP] » Aug 25 2012, 12:47am

Hey guys, so I'm trying to replace the rear quarter glass on the drivers side in my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab. Got the old broken one pulled out and I got a new one from the local salvage yard. It has these rubbery hinges with a lip that need to be pressed into the plastic frame on the truck. But no matter how hard I push I can't get them to lock in. Is there some sort of secret I need to know to get these hinges to seat? Taken some pictures below so you guys can have an idea of what im talking about. Thanks for the help.

Try using dish soap. It will help them slide in and snap better and can be rinsed away easily.
