So I was wondering if anyone has done any painting on their truck with a rattle can? The paint on my hood has faded n its mostly gray now but the top of my truck Is starting to rust where the paint has come off so I was thinking I would test it out on the top and at least put some primer to stop the rust from getting worse. Any thoughts or advice? Oh n its a 92 gmc so its rather old n dry paint. Thanks y'all!
If you have a prison or technical school close by a lot of times they will do repairs like that for just the cost of materials. A friend of mine had his old Dodge "B" body done at the prison and it actually turned out really well. Rattle can paint like that (in such a big area) never looks good.
At the least I think I need to concentrate on the top of my truck cause that the only place thar has rust n dont need it getting worse. I was planning on sanding the top n laying on a good few coats of a primer that stops rust. N then soon after add the color.
