I currently own a 2008 Silverado 1500 5.3 Liter. I am wanting to change the hood from my current model and place the hood from the 2011 Silverado 1500 HD. Will the hood from the HD fit the hood for my regular gas 1500 LT?
I know that the hood was recently changed in 2011, but it was only changed on the HD Silverado's.

Does anyone know the specs or can anyone shed a nit of lite on this please? I have tried to attach a few pics that I copied to a word doc or you may try a type 2011 Silverado HD 1500 into google and click Images.

I am pretty sure if you want to have the HD hood you would have to do a complete front end swap. The HD hood would hang over the stock grill on a 1500. Here is a pic with the HD front end swap.

Looks nice. There's a NBS running around KC that looks like it had the swap done. He is always going the other way or I'd pull up and ask. It is the same color as my truck. I wonder if there is an increase in intake clearance. Was looking at a FAST LSXRt intake and while I doubt it even matters it would be nice to see in person.
