Soft Tonneau cover that works with over the rail bedliner

Soft Tonneau cover that works with over the rail bedliner

Postby Dmanj [OP] » Jul 04 2012, 8:49pm

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a soft roll-up tonneau cover for my 2011 CCSB Silverado. I've been looking at the Truxedo Lo Pro Qt and Access Lorado covers, but just noticed today that they may not work with the over the rails bedliner that i have on my truck.

Is anyone running a soft tonneau cover with an over the rails bedliner that they like? Any suggestions to other ones that will work with my bedliner? Please post pics aswell.

I may also consider hard tri or quad flip covers that will work with over the rails bedliners aswell, so post them up too.

Thanks!

I have a Lo Pro QT cover that I put on right after I bought the truck last summer. I got my bed line-x last month, over the rail. Zero problems and it looks great. They had to take the cover off to do the bed then put the cover back on. You shouldn't have any problems. I'll post a couple pics soon

I have the OEM cover, and OEM rail protectors. It works great. I do get a couple leaks from the cover when going through a car wash, but that's about it.

I have no complaints and would recommend the Lo Pro to anyone. Haven't had any issues with water leaking in the bed.
Only tip I can give is to shop around for the best price. Chevy dealer wanted $600 plus extra to install. Autoanything wanted a little over $500. I found a local truck topper/accessories place that charged $400 installed.
Still working on getting the pics uploaded. Was having technical difficulties earlier.

I have an Extang Encore. I have no complaints. Seals tight and flips open on both ends. It sealed nicely with or without bed rail caps and around the tailgate lip. I have driven at speeds up to 70mph with the front lid closest to the cab flipped open. Each lid has good weight to it where it didn't flap or move at that speed

Oh and I wouldn't recommend a quad flip. The openings are so small it's an inconvenient to flip those lids multiple times when you have one hand free. The Tri flips are much more convenient.

I have the Extang Revolution. Works great with bedrails, after some slight modifications. Here's a write-up I did a while back. Extang Revolution Tonneau cover review

Another vote here for the Extang Revolution. I have the over-the-rail Line-X, so maybe that's different than the plastic rails, but I installed it myself and don't see where there would be a problem.
Upgrades so far: Line-X over the rail, Extang Revolution tonneau... does a baby seat count as a mod?

I emailed Extang and they said the Revolution may not mount properly with my bedliner. However, I got confirmation from both Truxedo and a local shop that there would be no problem with the Lo Pro QT on my truck. So that's probably what Ill end up doing. Plus this shop will install it for free.
