Hello all! Just got a new '11 Silverado crew cab and installed a Downey Products soft tonneau cover the other day. I have a problem though, the tail gate guard lifts the frame up off the bed when the gate is shut. I guess I could shim the frame up with some more of the soft foam. Has any one else had this problem with their tonneau covers?

I had some clearance issues with my cover..what i ended up doing was moving the cover forward just enough for it not to really interfering...i dont know if that will help you our not

I had the same issue with mine when I installed it so I went to Lows and bought a roll of pickup topper sealer to add to the frame all the way around the bed.

I also ordered plastic bed rail covers to both side rails and that rised it up a little and covered up those darn post holes for a nice flush look.

I thought about the bed rail covers too. I am waiting for Downey to send some more sealer. It was sent last Tuesday, I thought it would be here by now.

Actually,i also phase this problem.But,i had clear problems with my cover.A hard tonneau cover adds more security to your truck as well as potentially more durability and even good looks.And also it's use for better security and weather protection.I hope,that will help you.
