Fvsurfer1, I also own a 2015 Silverado LT. The truck also had the original DL8 mirrors. I installed the upgraded GM heated tow mirrors with side marker lights, turn signals in the mirror and back up lights. To get all of those additional things to work I needed new wiring harnesses and have the dealer reprogram the mirrors. You can see my mirrors in a posting above.

I have a 2007 Silverado Classic. Has anyone had any experience with installing turn signal mirrors in a truck that didn't have them from the factory? If so, was it plug and play?

Thanks. Don't wanna spend extra for yen signals if they aren't going to work or it's a pain to make them work.

Im going to refer back to this when I get the mirrors.

Great post! Answered a lot of my questions. I ordered DEDC Tow mirrors from Amazon today ($179.00).

FYI
Amazon is giving everyone a 30 day Prime trial right now. Which means free two day shipping, and a bunch of other crap. I took advantage, plus Christmas is right around the corner.

Re: Tow Mirrors FAQs

Postby ih82plow » Nov 25 2016, 8:20pm

So I have read thru I think ever post about tow mirrors, What I think I have found is that they do not power fold.

I have a 2016 2500HD crew cab with LTZ package. I have small power fold with the blinkers in the mirrors and I think heated.

I see had I ordered the truck with towing mirrors they would be power fold. If I order a replacement set from GM they say they are not power fold. What is the correct answer. can I get a set of Gm towing mirrors with power fold

Thanks

Depending on the style you are looking for, there are power folding tow mirrors, but they are the first design, part numbers 23241465 and 23241467, the new style you would have to get them aftermarket.

Thank you for the reply

Do you know the difference between first design and the other design?
