Hi Uneasy,

To your question. The stick on, go above the black molding around the window and continue down pass the mirror. The in channel, goes inside and window channel itself. Auto Shade advise to leave the window up 48 hours after install..

As one person noted, since the window will slide up and over the in channel version, the top part of the glass may become scratched... Installation for either will be easy. I helped a friend put on the in channel version in his Honda Ridgeline. As the window goes up for the first time, making sure it is position correctly is critical... Do not know about the scratching issue yet... It's a good point though.

I've always used the stick on type. They last for years. Mine always had a little wind noise. The advertisement is that the in channel has no wind noise. I don't know about that.

I hope this helped,

:-)

This is my first truck and first experience with vent visors, but I liked the clean look of the in-channel. I went with EGR brand because of some good reviews on AutoAnything.com and I'm really happy with them so far. The front two just slide into the channel and hold on their own without any adhesive. The rear two on the extended cab slide into the channel and secure with adhesive on the inside of the channel. I like the looks and haven't noticed any additional wind noise.
