Warped bedliner

Postby 2000sierra48 [OP] » Jun 17 2012, 6:58pm

When i bought my truck it came with an over the rail liner that the previous owner had installed. Never been a fan of over the rail liners but I wasn't complaining. Problem is that the top rails are warped like crazy. It wasn't bad when I bought it in the middle of winter but now with the warmer weather it looks like absolute garbage. I already have tie down anchors in the stake pockets which helped a bit and also a tool box which took care of the front portion of the bed. Any ideas how to keep the rails down short of screwing it to the bed sides?

Maybe pull the liner out while its warped and use a heat gun to bend it straight again. It might work but usually a liner that is warped has seen its better days.
If it dosnt work , maybe it time to turn it into a kiddie pool.

Use a 2x6 where you can use bed dividers that's what I do. Keeps that part pretty close for me

Yank it out, and replace with Line-X?

I am with Eric. Get rid of it and get a spray-in liner

Ive always heard good things about line-x and similar spray in liners but that's just not in the cards right now. Like a lot of people I just cant justify shelling out $700-800 for it when I already have a liner. I honestly have no problem having a plastic drop in liner and actually feel it protects the bed a bit better than a spray in for hauling around the stuff I'm usually carrying. The drop in's have somewhat better dent protection in my opinion but they do chew the paint. Either way it is a 12yr old truck and I cant justify Line-x right now. Im honestly just looking for a cheap solution until a used under the rail liner pops up on craigslist
