What wipers do you prefer?

Postby josh36530 [OP] » Dec 06 2011, 3:12am

Always hear about what diffrent oils you gusy use. But what about wiper blades and washer fluid? I still havent found a good aftermarket wiper. A friend told me the best is the stock ones and they can be bought from the dealership. As far as fluid goes, I have become fond of the Rain X with the de icer solution. What do you guys think.

I am still on my stock ones and I have always heard negative feedback from people about RainX wipers. But thanks I'll give the michelin's a shot.

I just put RainX on my Envoy and they are performing great. Glad I did since two days after putting them on I had to go to Philly International in pouring rain. The old wipers would have made it a really bad drive.

There are pros and cons in using the Rain X fluid. Like it says on the bottle it has a agent to de ice you windshield which it does great, it also applies Rain X formula to your windshield so the next time it rains you dont have to turn your wipers on. The cons of course, like with any fluid, you dont really want to use it on a clean truck cause it streaks on the roof and driver/passenger windows.

I have michelin wipers and they are great! i've tried and spent the money on all of the other ones and those are the best. A being a son of a family owned trucking company washer fluid is washer fluid cheap de-icer in the winter cheap bug wash in summer. It's like oil, oil is oil it just depends how much you wanna spend unless its synthetic.

I use Trico NeoForm blades. I got them from Advanced and installed them two winters ago. They are about the best blade I've used. The $20 each price tag was a little hard to swallow, but if they last for 3-4 years I guess it's money well spent. I'm less picky about washer fluid; anything from a buck to a buck fifty a gallon works for me.

Best wipers i ever owned were the big rubber winter blades, they are strong! The expensive ones usually break during the winter. You can go through 2 winter sets as the same price as Rain X blades!

The closest to the OEM blades that I have found are made by Bosch.
