In my 2007 silverado, when i'm driving down the road there is a whistling sound coming from the front of my truck. I cant tell if it is inside the cab or outside the cab but i was wondering if anyone has had a similar instance and could explain what it is.

The other thing is this rattling that sounds like it is in the dash on the driver's side and i can hear it randomly when it starts. If anyone has had either of these problems please let me know. THANKS

Do you have a bug sheild on it?

I have the new body and mine whistled with a bug guard on. If there is no bug guard it could be wind noise. I had a issue from the factory with my drivers side door not sealing properly. They put a updated hinge on it and its very quiet now. That sound was more of wind gusting , not whistling though

Wind noise from the windshield is driving me crazy!!!

I have the rattle in the dash as well, drives me nuts. No whistling but had the windshield issue and fixed it with the DST. I'll be waiting to see if anyone else came up with the rattle fix.

have a 2008 gmc with whistling noise. have never suspected the shield. bought the truck with the shield already on it. i usually have the radio louder then the whistling.

I believe the rattle is comming from the hard rubber molding strip that runs across the top of the inside engine firewall area. There are tabs that the strip runs thru that are to big, causing the strip to rattle . If you wiggle the molding you can see what I mean. I believe dealerships have a fix for this. I broke off a bunch of toothpicks and jammed them in the tabs to stop it last spring. It was just temporary at the time. But it stopped the rattle. I need a more permanate fix, but kinda forgot about ittill now. Hope this helps,,

I had a rattle in my 2007 Suburban. I found it was the sheild under the air condition evap. It gets bent up when you change spark plugs. All you have to do is just push down on it very little and the noise will go away. Hope this helps.
