only warranty left on the truck is what ever is left of the powertrain........... so no that will not be covered. (unless you both extended warranty)

from what i found out it is very common when i was looking to buy my truck just about every one that i looked at hade that same crack in it and the only way to fix it is to replace the dash. I myself am waiting on gm to come out with a recall on it just because i have seen it so much but with luck mine that i bought has not done it yet knock on wood

Good luck with the recall, I doubt that will ever happen, unless there is some sort of safety issue with it.

Does anyone have a picture of this?

I heard about this! its bullcrap..there is even a facebook page dedicated to it called "gmc cracked dash' or something like that where everyone is posting there pictures of it and it has links to complaint numbers. It looks like there is a push to make this a safety issue because most are cracking right above the left corner of the passenger side airbag. I noticed everyone with the cracks on that facebook page are in warmer temps all year around like florida,bama, georgia, arizona ect. I live in Wisconsin and even when in get -40 no cracking yet..keepping fingers croosed..i have a 07..this sucks

On the right side of the crack you cannot depress but on the left you can depress some, maybe a 1/16",,, Ed
