All Terrain Package

Unique Sierra package

Re: All Terrain Package

Just further proof that we can take "All Terrain" into an entirely different Territory!!!

EKinMN, good thing you have the adjustable pedals - sounds like you have a tough time "fitting" into a vehicle. I wish my seat would go back another 4 inches to make room for my legs. I have the arms to match, so I've learned to fold myself into a lot of vehicles over the years.

When I was in my teens, we went to buy some dress shirts - when we told the clerk what size (15-36), the guy in the store asked what kind of gorilla wears that. I guess tact wasn't his strong suit...

Now, there we go getting offtopic again
If you want to do what you want to do, you have to do what you have to do.

I "long" for gorilla arms. I always look like I am reaching for the wheel.
When we are standing, my wife is about a half inch taller than me. When sitting, I am about 1.5 inches taller than her. She is ALL leg, and a very small torso. (sorry farside...still no pics coming).

I'd be lost without the adjustable pedals.

I love the upgrade they gave the interior. I love the gauges and the brushed aluminum dash. It is better than that fake wood crap I have on my truck. I wonder if I can swap the dash cluster on mine so that I can get the z71.

My interior on a 2011 GMC Sierra All-Terrain SLE is exactly the same color and look as your pictures........but NO D.I.C. buttons to right of steering wheel on dash.

Thought it would be an easy upgrade to access the DIC. Dealer ordered left dash panel that won't work despite me telling him that was not the correct one. He thought with the VIN# included, somehow the "parts Genies" at GMC would get it right.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... wrong answer, Hector!

He now says it is NOT available unless it is specifically ordered as a factory supplied option. Therefore, I assume you can NEVER have the switch go bad or be involved in some type of mishap that would ever damage the switch/dash panel or both. I advise all of you be very careful with your All-Terrain DIC.........it can N E V E R.....ever be repaired!

Ponderous, does Obama run this operation?.........oh wait....yes he does.

Very nice, similar inside to my 2009 Sierra SLT Z71, mine is just the Carbon Black Metalic, with the ebony interior. I have the Denili Grille, with 18" chrome aluminum wheels but the biggest difference other than they come standard with the 6.0 L engine, is the Demali GPS Stereo upgrade which is about a 2 grand option. I have the 6 cd boise player, but I love the Denili stereo upgrade. I had the closed drink holder tray, but sold it on ebay, and went with the tray with the larger drink holders, with just enough room for my Garmin GPS. Mine did include the GMC soft tonneau cover, which I didn't think I would like, but turned out a great secure storage with the locking tail gate. 15,200 miles. Still like new. Hate the Bridgestone At tires. But will eventually replace with Michelin MS2. No snow in Florida. Locking diff is a blessing at some boat ramps. :)

I found this parts diagram, see links below if you want to hunt around for more info. Seems to me a clever parts man could piece this together for you but as I have found they often don't want to work any harder than they have to. I needed a replacement lock for my cargo management tool box and 2 GM parts guys claimed it was not available and both looked for a long time to come to that conclusion. Stopped by a dealer in another town one day and in 15 min he found it and ordered me the part and I got it 2 days later.

I believe that IS the DIC switch, but I need the "center panel" that includes the openings for the 2 center vents as well as the opening to hold the DIC switch. Is there any way to know the harness is already behind that panel without taking the panel off? Is there a marking on the DIC cable to know for sure. I have the "brushed titanium" dash, but want to install the DIC to gain access to the features options for door locks, headlight delay times, tire pressures, etc.

I need the switch and the panel to enable mounting of the switch in the dash panel.

I don't know the answer to those ?'s. Its very possible the wire harness pigtail in behind the panel and I would try to remove it to verify before I went and bought anything. The panels usually just pop off.

I just ran to town to get something for lunch and stopped at the GMC dealer because I knew they had a 2012 All Terrain CC SLE since last fall. It was there last Sunday but it was gone today so I never got to look at the dash to see if it was the same as my SLT. The dealer just change hands last week and their inventory is low.
