Crew Cab headrests!

I searched the internet and it said to put a small pin or paperclip in the hole on the side of the plastic piece to release the rear headrests on my 2012 silverado crewcab.

I inserted - wiggled, cussed and gave up

Help! Am I missing something here on how to remove the rear headrests!

Need to remove them to get the seatback covers on

You need a sturdy paperclip if using one. If you have alittle tool kit or tips kits, there generally is a micro torx or some sharp strong tip in there. Regardless... There is a button inside the hole. You have to insert perfectly straight to hit it... And both sides might require the button! Used to only one side had it, but check both...

You can pry the little plastic cap off and squeeze the release by hand.
Once you remove the headrest, or whatever you want to do with it, you just snap the cap back in place.
