Custom Camo Interior

Postby SomethinBoutaTruck [OP] » Apr 01 2013, 9:46pm

A friend of mine had this idea to do his headliner in camo fabric. He ordered from realtree and bought a lighter fabric and became a little discouraged when someone told him that using 3m adhesive would soak right through the fabric or existing headliner material. I had wanted to do the same thing and thought to myself that there must be a way to make it work. I found a fabric adhesive and ordered the more durable fabric from realtree. Instead of doing my headliner I decided I would do the door panels and the visors. This is my end result and thought I would share it. I love it and I get compliments everywhere I go. People don't believe that a girl like me actually did this. On one hand I want to start making some side money, on the other I don't want people having the same style as me. Hope you all enjoy it.

Wow, never seen that mod before. Looks fantastic. I could see you making some pretty good coin getting a custom interior shop going.
The forum has a section called "How To" and members can post how to do certain mods they have done to there truck. Check it out. Your interior mod would be a great "How To"
Good to have you in the forum. :D

Thank you all for the wonderful compliments. And yes, I am still considered a newbie although I've been a member for a few months now. This interior job turned out amazing and I am so glad I have a custom interior. I sometimes forget I have it done and people take me off guard when they mention it. I'm so used to it by now but still never take the uniqueness for granted. I am glad you all enjoy the work I have done. I wanted to get it out there and see if people actually thought it was something I could make money doing as I thought so myself. I like going to the truck wrecking yard and I could start picking up door panels for different trucks, got to start somewhere right? Here's a picture of my truck too. Been looking at the tires and wheels section as this will be my next purchase. I just installed a 2 1/2 inch levelling kit on the front end myself.

Will you marry me?
Just kidding, I think a custom interior shop doing that kind of work in my area would be a big hit. You might be on to something.

LOL Stars. Seriously though, that looks pretty awesome. I am looking for something like that because I think the seat covers are just to much for me. That is small with a big impact. Giving me some ideas though.
