For what ever reason, when I open my doors the interior lights do not come on. Every other vehicle I have owned does this, and obviously this truck should aswell. I have looked for a switch that allows the lights to not come on when the doors open, but cannot find one. Any one know how to turn on this feature. My truck does not have a DIC in it (yet), in case this is the only way to get them to come on with the doors.

My other question is, I was wondering if someone with a truck that has factory fog lights could post a picture of where the fog light switch is, and what it looks like. I want to add fog lights to my truck and if I can, try to retain the use of the factory button.

The button for the dome light should be right above the twist knob for your instrument light brightness know. I don't have a picture of the fog light button but it looks like the dome light but it goes below the brightness switch.

I think the switch for the dome light (to turn it on when the door is opened) is in the door lock assembly.

I found it this morning. It was right above the instrument panel brightness knob as tcarr25 said.

Not sure how much they changed this layout for the switches in the newer model Silverados but this is a pic from my 2004. The button on the left is the over ride for the dome and interior lights. The button on the bottom right is for fog lights and the one just above it is for the bed dome light. Hope this helps!

Thanks, That gives me some ideas of what I could do if using the stock nbs one doesnt work out.

Anyone else have a picture of their fog light switch from the nbs trucks?

Its nothing at all like the 2004. It is to the left of the steering wheel but thats where the similarities end. It is under the control for the interior lights
