Looking for drivers side seat plastic molding.

Postby RAFFY [OP] » Sep 25 2011, 7:46pm

I have been trying to hunt down this piece of plastic molding for my drivers side seat for months now with no luck. About a year or two back someone while getting in or out of the truck snagged their foot on the side molding of the seat. Thus causing the plastic molding to bend outward and crack, slowly after that it became worse until it fell off. I have visited and called a lot of junkyards but it seems that on newer trucks they pull the seats and sell them as a whole. Posted below is a picture of the drivers side seat showing the damaged molding, any help in hunting down a replacement would be much appreciated.

I would try the dealer. Lot of the plastics are not to high priced.
Buying things I don't need to impress people I don't know.

Try Schram Auto Salvage in Waterford, Michigan. They may ship parts to anywhere.

for a piece like this if you call your local dealers parts counter and give them your vin# and tell them the part you may be able to get it pretty cheap. this is about the only time i would say go to the dealer but parts like this are hard to find and the dealers price isnt that bad (on these type items).

Looking for drivers side seat plastic molding.

Postby RAFFY [OP] » Sep 28 2011, 8:45pm

It has 5 screws total, right now the front is snapped off where the front two screws are placed. The plastic molding that is snapped off is also held on with glue, hence that big vertical black spot.
