Shouldn't matter either way as long as you can get it off without damaging the steering wheel too bad right? The new emblem will cover any blemishes up. I say give it a try and go easy and see what happens. Can't hurt the emblem any more at least!

yeah thats what im afraid of...also would like to just pull it off and push the dent out and glue it back on but i dont know, ill let yall know what happens

first off dont try prying it of it will bend it to hell. second i found one on ebay for my 07 silverado but its 42 bucks and i am willing to bet it would bend up trying to install because its so thin the only way it will work is if u take apart the air bag housing i just did all this to get to my cruise control so any qustions ask away
