radio lights

Postby bullrider77 [OP] » Apr 26 2010, 6:06am

Some of the lights on my stereo work one day and not the next. The actual display works just fine but the preset buttons, the tuning button, the info button and band button work intermitantly. Are these lights replacable or does the whole unit need replaced? :(

Those bulbs can be replaced, the bad thing is you have to send the radio off to get them replaced. It would be cheaper to replace with a cheap aftermarket radio.

I try to keep my dash lights to the dim side for extra life.

Radio Codes

Postby daddyg1 » Sep 30 2010, 3:43am

How do you read the radio security codes for an '04 Silverado? I have to remove the radio to do some work under the dash and don't have the codes.
