Wind Noise

Wind Noise

Postby oneillt [OP] » Jan 20 2012, 2:39pm

So ever since I've got my truck It has a lot of wind noise, seems to be whenever you are going over 45. It is definitely coming from the doors, and I'm pretty sure it is the weather striping that goes around the doors. Question is, where on earth can i get new molded weather stripping? Truck is an 04' reg cab.

Easy answer would be your neighborhood GMC/Chevy dealership. There is a website that these guys talk about commonly, but I don't know the name of it. It has something to do with GM replacement parts. Search it on Google!

If the air is coming in the top or front near the mirror. Can roll the window down and grab the door frame and bend it in towards the truck. Takes someone with some weight to bend it, but can be done. Sometimes if that doesn't work, you gotta take the door off and beat the top hinge in.
