2011 Silverado LT Dash Trim Removal

Postby Rymanh24 [OP] » Jul 01 2011, 3:48am

I have a 2011 Silverado LT, so it comes with the radio and panel that has the air vents to the left and right of the radio.

How do I remove the dash trim?

I know this is like the 1,000th question. But I have searched the entire net for the past 6 hours at work and cannot find anything!

The panel pops off ...it's held in place with snap fittings. The best way to attack the panel is to use a plastic putty knife (or if you have a Harbor Freight nearby they make a nifty set of tough nylon plastic pry tools).

If the panel extends all the way across the dash, you'll need to flip the steering wheel down to the lowest position ....and you may also have to place the gear shift into "1" to get it out of the way.

Take your time and carefully work around the panel; you don't want to break any mounting pins or attachment gizmos.
I'm not so much a smart guy as a guy smart enough to know how to find out....
