Aftermarket Radio

Aftermarket Radio

Postby Lagerlot [OP] » Feb 18 2012, 11:29pm

Hello everyone,
I have a question about installing aftermarket radio's. I have a 2000 silverado non-bose , non, onstar and the only module I can find only lists the 2003-2007 silverado. Has anyone had a similar issue and if so what module model number did you use. I dont want to dump $70 or so to ot have it work. Every picture I see of a module doesnt show the plug in from the truck harness , only the 12v output.

Which module are you asking about ? The steering wheel controls? If you don't have bose or onstar you don't need one for those and the steering wheel controls is the only other one

took a shot in the dark and ordered the "Scosche GM09SR" and it looks like it should work. Even on their application list it doesnt list a 2000 silverado. The module is the one to keep the door chimes and warning bells.
