CB antenna mount?

CB antenna mount?

Postby carsonhowe22 [OP] » Feb 07 2012, 1:13am

OK so I recently bought a CB radio and a Firestik antenna. I bought a magnet mount but I don't really like it, so when I can get some extra cash I'm going to get a different kind of mount. What kind of mounts do you guys have? Pics? I don't want the antenna to be on top of the truck, I want it to be in the bed area.

It looks like you have rails on your bed so this won't work for you. I like the concept of stake hole antenna mounts.

I don't have pictures but on my old truck I had it mounted in between the hood and the body.

That looks great! If I did that I would be able to keep my bed rails on too.

That does look great 08max! What size are those? 4ft? I have used both firestiks and the ole 102" SS whip antenna on previous jeeps/trucks, they sure do look cool! Was thinking I may toss one back on at some point.

Thanks guys i appreciate it. Yes, they are 4 foot, and they are both functional. Suthrn, my buddy has a 102 inch whip on his old cj, mounted on his rear bumper, and he folds it down and hooks it to the front bumper when not wheeling. Such a cool look!
