How do I find out if my truck is Bluetooth Equipped?

How do I find out if my truck is Bluetooth Equipped?

Postby Pooh [OP] » May 10 2011, 1:10am

Just recently got an 08 Sierra SLE. The truck has all of the on star goodies and has a built in MIC so i'm wondering if the truck also has blue tooth or if that is the later models.

I miss my setup in the last DD where everything went through the truck so i didnt have to even dick my my phone when driving.

If you need more info on the truck just ask.

I don't think the 08 has bluetooth. Sorry, man. The microphone is just for the On Star.

How to find out if my truck is Bluetooth Equipped?

Postby gmctruckguy » May 10 2011, 3:47am

It's on the 09's also. On the steering wheel control press and hold the phone button, not the hang up button. It should say "ready" say Bluetooth and if it responds "Bluetooth ready" then you have Bluetooth. Say "pair", it will tell you to put your phone in pairing mode, so search for bluetooth, once it's found it should say "general motors" on your phone, enter the pin # that there is displayed on your dic into your phone and your done.

Oh ok. Is there any way to install those controls on my truck, right now I'm just using the plug that connects the iPhone to the radio.
