In-dash Radio/GPS from OttoNavi

In-dash Radio/GPS from OttoNavi

Postby t2true [OP] » Sep 11 2010, 2:06am

Has anyone heard of or used any products by OttoNavi (http://www.ottonavi.com/index.php)?

They offer a resonably priced Radio/GPS unit (http://www.ottonavi.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=149) for Silverado. But I want to see how well it works and how it fits in Chevy.

2004 Chevy Silverado

Thanks

They look pretty cool, however I did not see the model for a Silverado. Am I just over looking it?

If you replace your original radio with this unit, you will lose some functions on your vehicle. I'd keep the original radio and go for a portable GPS such as Garmin or Tom Tom.

I might be compulsive, but I do not like anything on the dash. So I have been looking into something like this myself. Other than the factory chimes, what else would you loss from going aftermarket? You can get an adapter like this, http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120GMRC01/ ... ml?tp=3486, It will allow you to still get your factory chimes.

The product does not work! After the very difficult installation, I lost other features in the car. The system kept turning on and off, so I lost simple features like the radio! Installation instructions and user guide was inadequate to say the least. When I contacted this company they refuse a refund! Do not purchase this, it is a scam!
