Hey all, I've been reading through alot of post on aftermarket head units and I've decieded to take the plung. But after all my research I've been told that I need a "LAN Harness" for my truck (2007 NBS, LS, Non-Bose, No Steering Controls) and it's around $250.00. I've noticed alot of you guys/gals have put in aftermarket headunits, did you have to purchase this harness or a harness. If so which one did you buy, from where did you get it. I can't believe that my truck is the only one out there with this issue. Any info would help, and thanks again

you will need to buy a wiring kit for your truck and a dash kit for your body style. u can usually get them from wal mart advanced auto, or at a speaker shop for like 50 bucks total if that. check out my pics of my head unit. the unit was 350 and the wiring kit and harness was another 50 from the local place called sound station and security where i live. its also going to depend what kind of unit your going to buy a simple cd player will take a Single dash din kit which typically has a storage compartment underneath and a double dash kit ( like mine) is for a stereo that has a screen that isnt motorized.
