Should I mount the sub or save for a stealth box?

Postby Boats4Life [OP] » Aug 18 2012, 5:17pm

I have this Infinity Basslink that I had in my Cruze and for less than 40 bucks I can install it right below the stereo in the silvy.

Should I install or just save for a jl audio stealth box and a 1000/1 to put under the back seats?

Definitely save. Right now you're begging for someone to break into your truck.

Besides the under seat box is a much cleaner install.

just make your own box. its very simple to do. the hardest part is to carpet it without seeing the seams

Only problem with that is not having the tools, otherwise that would've been my first option. Ice done a few before, but don't have the tools anymore.

I've got a stealthbox in mine and I love it! Most folks can't beleive it when I tell them (after I lower the volume) that their eardrums just got thumped by a single 10"JLAudio sub in a stealthbox. Mine sits under the center console in between the front chairs and you wouldn't know it was there unless the volume is up.

Did you have the Bose system or non-Bose when you installed your stealthbox brown?

Should I mount the sub or save for a stealth box?

Postby patrickj4453 » Aug 18 2012, 9:02pm

I've got 2 twelve inch subs in a a long sub box that is custom built to form under my back seats perfectly (crewcab). They are completely hidden and sound amazing. Ask around. There are many car stereo places that have boxes made for these trucks
