Nothing like browsing the internet's vast listing of folks who have trouble with XM-Radio customer service to remind myself NOT to sign up for it!

i have had sirius radio for about 5 years when i had my 02 Envoy and when i got my silverado i asked if i could easily swap it over to my truck, but when they informed me that although sirius and XM combined that they are still two different companies and i would have to pay 199$ to start up a new service. even after speaking to the "supervisor" he still couldnt help me so i just discontinued my service and bought a 15 cord to hook my Iphone so now i can just play my music from there.

I had the same dilemma, when I bought a sirius for my truck they wanted to charge me a hook up fee, I explained I had paid tha fee on my other vehicle and after a lot of back and forth arguing, I said I would return the radio, that changed his mind he gave me 3 months for 4.95 per month and no initial charge, so if you have the radio, dont give up just pester them till they give in.

ive had XM since 2005, i only use it for the Opie and Anthony, Ron and Fez, and for the news. for music, i just use my iphone. since siruis and xm merged, the music selection, in my opinion isnt any better than terrestrial radio. when their exclusive talk selection leaves, ill be done with it.

I've never had a problem with XM customer service. Sorry you had a bad experience ADL.

I was a big fan of Fred 44 on XM till it was overtaken by FirstWave 33 (early alternative music). Ther Sirius version was definately more generic and pop than XM. When I came home from Afghanistan FirstWave programing got even more generic. It's almost like 80's on 8 now... Bummer. Now I listen to more Classic Vinyl.
Marine because.

I have had my truck for 3 months, so my XM trial is about up. XM is offering me a 6 month extension for $4.99/mo. I tried to get him to go to a year at that price and he wouldn't (or couldn't) do it. He had called at a bad time, so I'm waiting for someone to call back and I'll try to get 12 months from them at that price. He told me to sign up for the 6 months and then call back after 6 months to see if they had any new specials. OP, you may want to call and tell them that you have heard of this deal.
