I wouldn't know. My hearing's shot from all the years I spent in artillery.

i listen to xm all the time now just cus it sounds sooo much better... when i put it back on radio its so dull and if i switch it to CD anything that has any base just makes the factory speakers sound like crap... but i can get really nice base from XM?? i have no idea why... it makes me want to subscribe to XM just cus of that.

We could get in to a real technical discussion here. But having been a subscriber to XM for 5 years, the sound quality actually varies depending on the station you listen too. It goes to data compression rates(which can be different depending on the station) and other things. It also depends on what stations you listen to. If you listen to the stations that broadcast the 40s,50s, and even the 60s the actual masters are very poor (these were after all non digital eras). In a good head unit (which the standard radios in the LT version aren't) Cds should sound much better than any station on XM.

XM and FM are nearly the same for me, maybe FM is slightly better. My iPod is by far the best.
