08 Chevy

Postby Imbranu [OP] » Apr 02 2011, 4:15pm

So it's kinda interesting how i came about getting my chevy. My buddy was looking at getting new car and we had been getting troubles i had found a possible car for him and we went to the delearship and low and behold i saaw the new truck. My wife saw it at the same time and we proceeded to walk over and check it out. Well we went for a test drive and loved the truck. Long story short we bought it and we love it. Great truck. Its a 2008 Chevy Silverado it has a 3 inch body lift with 35's on it. After i bought the truck i went and checked out how it did in the mud and had a lot of fun.

Nice looking truck, Wingnut will love it since its black. My next step is a suspension lift instead of body. Found a 3.5" lift kit by Rough Country for $430.

Yeah the only thing about a suspension lift is that it will void my drivetrain warranty. I had the truck checked out at a local chevy dealer here in ga and they said that the warranty is still covered with since its a body lift and they said if it had been a suspension lift they wouldn't work on it anymore under warranty. So i am stuck with just the body lift for awhile..

WELCOME! My wife really likes my truck too, and helped pick it out. But, she would have a cow if I ever brought it home looking like that! Sure looks like fun, though! I used to go 4-wheeling in the Colorado, and I loved it.
