Hello from E TN

Postby Drock750 [OP] » May 23 2010, 6:58am

Hello from knoxville, Tn. I just found your forum and thought id join up. I recently picked up a 07 GMC sierra 1500 crew cab 4X4 (GMT 900). I search forever before I found the one I liked. So far I'm pleased and can't complain. This is my second GMC, I also have a 92 3500 dually. I could drive the dually everyday, jus cant afford to. Talk about something that uses gas, that 454 drinks it. Look forward to reading your forum....

BtW, if anybody has any questions about their calipers maybe I can help you out. I recently took another job but for the past twelve years I've built them. There's pretty much nothing about the GMT 800/900 caliper that I dont know. I was a maintenance guy there and kept the machining lines running. We did everything but make the casting......

Later,

Welcome aboard Drock750!

Nice to have our very own caliper expert. Have you done any modifications/performance upgrades to your truck? Post up some photos of your truck when you get a chance.

I've only had my 07 for a couple of weeks. My first modification will be some step bars. I'm leaning towards the westin oval tubes, maybe I can pick some up next week. Decided on black but aluminum or steel I dunno yet. I'll post some pictures in the gallery and update with any changes.
