New from Central WI!

Postby Pooh [OP] » May 08 2011, 9:20pm

Hey everybody!
A little background on me. I'm a mopar guy to the bone, been daily driving an 02 ram 1500 rc/lb for the last year. 10-12mpg on the hwy was getting a little old so i decided to upgrade to a newer truck. I of course ran right to the dodges, disapointed on interior and ride quality i stopped in at ford and saw almost the same exact problems. So i ran to the local chevy/gmc dealership in town and fell in love with a 08 half ton. I've got a little over 200 miles on it now and cannot find even one thing i dislike about the truck. (other then all the buttons i've yet to figure out lol)

Truck:
2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE
5.3L Flex fuel / Cylinder management
4spd auto with OD
Crew cab
Pewter in color (i'm sure thats not the exact color but it's similar to the T/a, camaro, and vette's pewter

Very well optioned, no leather (my personal choice) and no sunroof or nav. Other then that it has pretty much every other option, any questions just ask.

Just over 65,000 on the clock.

WELCOME to the site, Pooh Bear! I am from the Twin Cities area, and have a bunch of family in central WI.
Glad you found our site! Feel free to search around. And/or ask a lot of questions. We are proud of our trucks, and we want to make sure you get the most out of your GM -- no going back to the Dodges! :)

Anyway, welcome again, and nice picture of the truck. at 65k, it's just getting broken in. ENJOY!

Former Ram (and F150) owner here as well, Jimmy! I've had my '08 Sierra a little over 2 months now. NO REGRETS at all... granted, I had taken a 4 year hiatus from being a truck owner and drove around in a gas sipper when fuel hit $4/gallon and I was in my 03 Ram 2500 Quad with the 5.7 HEMI. I was getting 9 mpg. Now in the Sierra, I am getting 16.8 highway/15.2 city.

Welcome to the site (I still haven't figured out all the buttons either... sounds like we have similar options, too)

Jim
