New from Va!!

Postby chevygirl2009 [OP] » Jan 24 2012, 6:30am

I am new to this site and I just recently purchased a 1999 Chevy Silverado Z71. I decided to make an account on here to learn new things about working on my truck myself. I really don't know all that much about working on them, and if you can't tell by my name, I am a girl..lol..But anyways this Chevy is the first one that I have ever had. Finally glad that I got away from the fords, because that is all I have had in the past!

Once you get it all fixed up, you will like it better than your old Fords.

When you go to buy tools to work on it, be sure to buy good tools, like Craftsman. They have a lifetime warranty and they should last you a lifetime. Cheap tools will at best make you mad when they break in the middle of a job and at worst get you hurt.

That's good, but you should start your own collection for when you get out on your own.

I am picky about mine. I'm a little OCD anyhow. I have a friend that can never seem to put them back in the correct place. I told him he must not have done well putting shapes in the holes when he was a kid.

Lol! That's funny! I can't stand when someone borrows something of mine and don't return it or put it back in the right place.
