Postby 99silverado [OP] » Aug 18 2011, 2:49am

Hey guys, I've been lurking around and poking in here and there for a little while now and decided I would do a formal intro. I have a 1999 Silverado ext. cab with the 5.3l V8 with about 243,450 miles and still going strong! Some mods I've done so far are; completely de-badged, Spectre CAI, Flowmaster 70 series muffler, 8" Infinity sub and Kenwood amp, Sony head unit, and I finally got my 20x9" American Racing Circuit rims after a month on backorder :D , I put Nexen Roadian HP 285/50R20's on and love them so far. My next mod in line is to shave my tailgate and get a roll-pan, after that I want to get a chrome grill and color match the air dam and upper part of the bumper. So far I love this site, some good info and people!

And now for some pics

Nice, I still love driving my 99. Mine has 314,000 on it and still wakes up when the throttle get pushed to the floor.

Nice truck...Good to see its still running strong. My father-in-law has a gray one like that thats a 2000 model and it only has 30,000 miles on it  . I hope he'll get the urge for a new truck soon so I can buy it and use it as a project. Anyway, good to have ya here.....

Thanks guys, I plan on getting as much out of her as I can.
And my sub is a single 8 in a custom ported box i think its peak power is 1000 watts and it hits harder and sounds better than my buddy's 10 lol

here is my set up (I need to move the amp onto the hump so i can put stuff under there)

Thanks! I talked my buddy into getting one instead of paying $300 on a K&N just spend $120 on a Specter! I love the way these things sound! I feel like it will suck in little kids if they get too close haha!

I had one on my old truck with the 5.7L... it sounded like a little tornado! My new one doesn't sound as good, but it still looks great.

Stick it on the back wall. Seriously. All four of my Chevy's have had amps and everyone had the amp on the wall.

BTW, sweet looking ride. I always liked the Indigo Blue.
