New to the forum but not Chevy

Postby scubiesteve [OP] » Aug 21 2010, 5:32am

When I was 16 I got a hand me down 85 Silverado 10 from my dad. He bought it brand new in 84 and I got it in 2000. That truck was built like a tank and I loved it. It stopped ticking 50 miles away from hitting 200,000 miles. I then bought a 2002 4x4 S-10 Blazer and it had problems with the 4wd kicking in and out when driving without hitting the electronic shifter had the transfer case serviced for $3,000.00 and a few thousand miles later it started happening again. I was stationed at Eielson AFB in Alaska down the road from Fairbanks, Alaska so I needed the extra traction so I then traded it on a 2005 Subaru Impreza RS had that for 3 years and then traded it in for a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi when I got to Hill AFB in Utah. I had it almost for two years and loved every minute of it, did a lot of mods to it and had tons of fun in that car. But every good thing must come to an end, I got married and then a year later we have a kid on the way. I wanted to keep it but the car seat wouldn't fit and we also needed a truck because I was tired of borrowing trucks from friends and family so I traded in the STi for a 2008 Silverado 1500 4.8l LS with 40,000 miles. I love this truck and it gets decent gas mileage for a gas truck.

This truck has a Tuff Country lift kit don't know how high but it has 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler tires, factory installed locking rear diff., and tow package. Next on the mod list is a Gibson Super Truck exhaust, Gibson headers, volant powercore cai, and diablo sport programmer.

If you right click on the pictures and click on view image you can see the full size pics as these are cropped by the forum. Thanks for the warm welcomes, I plan to be on here alot. I was always on the NASIOC forums when I had my Subaru Impreza's. Also does anyone know where to get another XD series sticker for my center cap as it's MIA.
