Brakes Brakes

I have a 2011 Chev 1500 crew cab 5.3 and when I am stopped, at a stop light for example, or just before I come to a complete stop if I am applying light brake pressure it seems to pulsate forward as if the brakes are grabbing and releasing over and over.

Anyone know what this might be? I have 9,000 miles on it (brand new tires/rims/sensors about 400 miles ago as unfortunately they were ...

"Service Brake Booster" light on DIC

Okay, so I have a 2003 GMC Sierra 5.3L 4x4 with 175k on the clock. The other day, I went to fill up with gas and about 2 miles later, "Service Brake Booster" appeared in my DIC. Before I go any further, I want to say that the gauge cluster has some problems. The tach and speedo work on occassion, and the shift pattern is inoperative. It has been that way for about 70k miles. ...

Brakes Brakes

Hey Guys
I went to put new front brake pads and scuff up the rotors on my 2008 Sierra 4x4 w/50,000 miles. So I took the rotor off on the right side and I could not beleive the rust. There was no scuffing of this rotor. The left side was not as bad. What kind of cheap metal is GM using now? My old 2000 Silverado 4x2 rotors don't look no where near this bad ...

I bought a new 2011 silverado lt 4x4 and just noticed it has rear drum brakes! I thought they stopped using drum brakes in the 90s. Now im going to do a conversion to rear discs, 37000 truck you would think it would at least have disc brakes!

Emergency brake light

This forum has been a great help with some things on my 1998 GMC Sierra.
But I am not finding anything on this issue.
My Emergency brake light stays on when I release it which won't let the daytime running lights turn on. It will shut off sometimes while I'm going down the road and then the lights will come on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Bleed Brakes

Getting ready to change the front rotors and pads on my 06 Silverado Z71 with 120k miles.

It is pulsating under braking and sometimes locks up at slow speeds when I jam the pedal.

I probably should should flush the fluid and clean the ABS sensor while I'm in there. Anything else?

I have the large MityVac vacuum. Is there any advantage to using the pressure bleeder approach?

Thanks!
