Reduced Engine power

Postby petersurette [OP] » Mar 29 2012, 2:30pm

My truck keeps going into reduced power mode. Started doing it a few months ago. Took it to my mechanic and the computer said the Throttle body was bad. Installed new throttle body, replaced conrol module and wire to throttle body, updated software to expand voltage parameters, and it is still going into reduced power mode occasionally on cold mornings. Any suggestions?

Unsure myself, but you might get more responses if you repost in main forums. I don't think these regional forums aren't looked at too often for technical assistance like this.

Have you read for any OBD codes? That's the first thing I would do.

hey i had the same on my truck, went in replaced the throttle body as the code said, came back on, took it in to the dealership and they changed the location of the ground wire and it has been gone for about 30,000 miles now. Might want to look into that, has worked for me so far.
