Hey fella's,

So after alot of thought, I finally found my exhaust choice for my silverado. Ive decided to get a dual exhaust after all, and im getting a flowmaster super 10 series exhaust. Now my question is...

Is there any kind of insulation that I can wrap around the muffler to reduce any chance of cab resonance ? my best guess to describe what im looking for would be something similar to dynamat...

I want the loud exhaust, but figured it might be possible to reduce the risk of cab resonance by wrapping it in something, and my first thought was thermo wrap, but i doubt thats what I need...

I agree with Izn79, you would have to rap the whole exhaust to maybe get a little bit of change.

Dyna matting your truck will probably help you more if you have the time to gut your interior and install it. I have also seen lizard skin barrier coatings on the power block a few times and that is something that you can just spray on the bottom of your truck, cab and bed, to help with sound.

Its not going to be a big issue with me, as I like loud exhaust. I just thought for some reason by wrapping the exhaust would help maybe tone down the cab...

But then again, im always listening to stereo loud also. eventually when I get done the intake / exhaust combo. my truck will be getting some dynamat love when I get my upgraded component speakers, and amp installed. idk why i never thought that dynamat down the road would help kill the sound in the cab ( DUH ! )
