I have a 2007 silverado 4.8L(new body style) ... I am having a problem with my oil pressure gauge. I was driving and noticed my oil pressure gauge was reading zero. I kinda know the gauge works because it went from below zero to zero. no other lights came on or messages popped up. i checked my oil quantity and it was good. i shook some wiring where i thought the oil pressure sensor might be... but am not exactly sure where that is at. (by the oil pan?). I don't know much about working on cars/trucks. any suggestions?
Thanks

the older 5.7 were on top behind the intake not sure about the 5.3 and when was last time the oil and filter were changed? you could pull a valve cover to make sure your oil pump is working......
Probably is the sensor that is bad. If it didn't have pressure you'd at the very least be getting lifter tick. It should be behind the intake manifold on the drivers side of the engine.
My 06 did the same thing, its either the OPS or you're clusters starting to go.
