Spare tire stuck

So I finally wanted to investigate why my spare tire is not lowering. I crank the mechanism and the wire lowers but the tire stays up. I just founds out that there is secondary lock where you have to use the jack but my jack just broke. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the secondary lock?

I never could figure that thing out! On my 2002, my 2006, or my 2010. I told the dealer to take mine out of the 2011 and toss it in the bed before I take delivery of it. What I do (ohhhh and I can just hear the bit%#@ing now)...but oneday I was out in the pasture in my 06 it was about 110 out I had been up all night baling hay, cattle were out because one of the hired guys didn't remember to shut the gate, it was the wife's time of the month.. and to top it all off I was home on leave....not how I wanted to spend my time...I had a pretty big stick jab through the sidewall when I was running a cow down….

1. I took the lock out and let the tire down as much as possible
2. I backed up to a tree
3. I hooked a chain around the cable holding the spare up
4. I hooked the other end of the chain to the tree
5. In a fit of total rage I floor boarded it...and out came the spare

That was after about 20 minutes of fighting it....no damage to the truck (at that point I didn't really care).
Then I went to the beer joint

The End
